We are excited to announce that Six Inches of Soil can now be watched at home on Prime Video in the UK. Please do share this link far and wide!

For the rest of the world it should be available to watch online by the end of the year or in 2025, it is all dependant on how we distribute it in other countries. At present we are talking to various contacts in the USA and beyond, but if anyone has good contacts to help distribute the film please do contact us at info@sixinchesofsoil.org. We really want to maximise on the film’s impact and have had a lot of interest and positive feedback outside of the UK.

The Podcast

No rest for the Six Inches of Soil team, now we have created a podcast! The idea was born after a surprise visit from Gabe Brown to London where he met up with the Ben Thomas, Colin and Claire. It was all thanks to the host of the podcast, Richard Tufton (a long term friend to SIOS), who organised the meet up and invited a few more guests. The lunch conversation around the table was recorded which we turned into our first episode.

“My passion in the food, farming, and regenerative space has soared as I’ve learned more and more about the good things people are doing around the world to bring agricultural practices back to their roots. I became involved with Six Inches of Soil out of pure interest to join this force for good. So here we are..” Richard Tufton, our host, who has worked in the food sector for over 20 years, is British but is now lives in America.

The podcast aims to build a community of regenerative food and farming enthusiasts, challenge listeners to think differently about out food system and how food lands in your local supermarket, farmer’s market or restaurant. Cumulatively, our decisions on what to buy and what to eat have a HUGE IMPACT on society and the planet.

Along with a few wonderfully smart guests, Richard will explore… all truths, all stories, all research, and all verified and traceable data. Our episodes will explore a spectrum of topics from livestock to vegetables, grains to wines, forestry to fashion. First Film Festival and Laurels!

We are thrilled that the film is being premiered in the US at the Newport Beach film festival this Oct. The Newport Beach Film Festival has emerged as the largest international cinema event in coastal Southern California, attracting over 56,000 attendees to Orange County, CA.

We hope American audiences love our film, we want to show the film widely there and are looking for partners and distributers to make that happen. Please do contact us if you have any key contacts in the States.

Rising Star!

Last week Ben Thomas won the “Rising Star Award” at Cornwall Farm Business Awards held at the Eden Project. A wonderful achievement for Ben, Claudi and wee Ted, huge congratulations to you all!

The Crew are still on the road!

By the end of this year we will have had an incredible 500 screenings, we can’t believe it and has far exceeded our expectations. Mel Bradley and Olivia Shave have been the tour de force behind the screenings, and have enabled us to screen the film in a huge variety of locations and countries. We are so grateful to them both.

Here are a few photos from some of those screenings where the crew and some of our stars have been on panels and spent time talking to the audience. We are still loving sharing the film and the impact is growing - we have recently heard that farmers have taken their first steps to regen since watching it and many folk have been buying their food directly from farmers or via box schemes rather than at the supermarket.

We are still taking regular bookings to screen the film around the world, with exception of Australia and New Zealand where Limelight Distribution are distributing the film. Please do consider showing the film at your company , the film is a brilliant centre piece for an event.

The film is also available online via Vimeo in the UK and will be made available in other territories from the autumn.
